a taste of what is to come

Ko was mister cranky pants after a long, fun day with Grandma & Paul.

I was cranky too, after an early morning and full day at the office.

Thankfully, supper was in the crockpot when we got home – breakfast casserole – it turned out well.

K and I snarfed it!

We were missing somebody at supper…

All part of the new job – and something we were expecting – Chad will be gone 1-2 nights a week.

It is a sorta rough transition…but we will settle in.

Ko went to bed early – it was just better for all of us.

And now I get some me-time.

I’m sitting in the dark – it is my happy place.  Chad wouldn’t be impressed, BUT since he’s not here, there’s not much he can do about it!

I had a chance to catch up on all my blog reading and devour my Haagen Dazs Salted Caramel Gelato.   It’s delicious.  Trust me.  Maybe not quite as good as Mama Mary’s LP concoctions – or even as the REAL stuff from the quaint shops in Italy…but for August in Kansas – this gelato hit the spot!  Thank goodness for Dillons sales and digital coupons!

And because every blog post is better with pictures…
